To All Eangut Members,

 I need to update everyone on some of the exciting things that are happening in your Eangut Association.

 1. USAA has agreed to pay all E-5 and E-6 membership dues for 2007. A sheet will be coming to each unit that will need to be signed by each soldier, which will allow USAA to do this. Ask your 1SG about your letter and get it in!

 2. We have worked several deals and have implemented some new policies and procedures to build up our Eangut funds. Right now your association is financially healthier than it has ever been, come to our meeting and you can see for yourself.

 3. We are in the process of making all memberships come due in the same month (January), same as the officers. This will save so much confusion and if all UTNG soldiers come due at the same time we will get better in focus from the command.

 4. We’ve changed the format of our monthly meetings. Come see for yourself, it’s not as boring as the old way.

 5. Our legislative committee is working on a bill to get our state to allow the 1^st $6,000 of every NG soldier-active and retired-income to be UT State tax exempt and it’s looking good

 6. We have some good plans for raising money with our Ways and Means Committee. If you would like to get involved call me. You will have fun.

 I am very appreciative to all those who work so hard and donate their time, talents and means to help us all.

This organization is your voice for change, it improves your way of life as a soldier, don’t just let others do the work. Come out and meet with us, and ask us how you can be involved.
