EANGUS

First off all I want to thank everyone who attended the annual EANGUT Conference this year at Camp Williams. The conference was a great success and we were able to get a lot of association business accomplished. I would also like to thank CSM RaeLynn Oman for all of her hard work and dedication during her tenure as our president.

One of my primary goals for this year is to focus on educating the enlisted members of the Utah Army and Air National Guard on the benefits of being a member of EANGUT. If everyone understood just how important the legislative issues are that EANGUS and EANGUT deal with, I believe our membership would skyrocket. The larger number of members we have, the more our legislators will listen. It is also important to get our numbers up in Utah because that’s what determines how many delegate votes we are allowed to have at the national level. Our membership committee is working on setting up teams to visit the various units throughout the year to give short briefs about all of the benefits associated with becoming a member.

Another area that I want to focus on is having a monthly meeting for the executive officers and any other members that wish to attend. I want to make sure that our association is staying on track and that we continually press forward with important issues. Following each monthly meeting we will be sending out the new e-EANGUT Express via e-mail to all of our members. I want to make sure everyone is aware of what’s going on and what the association is doing for you. I would like to bring an end to the days where the only time you hear from us is when we want money from you to register.

Thank you again to all of you who continue to support the association and I ask that each of you talk to your units and encourage you’re associates to join EANGUT and get involved in making the decisions that will affect our future.
